Wynn Drumm, Jr.

Herbert Wynn Drumm, Jr. Herbert Wynn Drumm, Jr., a beloved husband, father and son passed away peacefully at home with family at his side on March 28, 2012, in Waxahachie, Texas. He fought a courageous four year battle with colon cancer and is now healed and resting with his Heavenly Father. Wynn was born February 21, 1955, at St. Paul’s Hospital in Dallas, TX. He was the only child of Catherine Arlene Wright. He became the step-son of Bill Wright at the age 6 and was the much loved grandson of Fred & Catherine Cole whom he adored. Wynn graduated from Lancaster High School in 1973 and from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1977 where he received a degree in Accounting. He later earned his CPA designation. He went to work at Dallas Power & Light in 1977 and continued to work with the family of companies, Texas Utilities and Oncor Electric until his retirement on May 31, 2011, after 34 years of dedicated service. Wynn married his sweetheart, Pamela Ann Regan, also a Lancaster High School graduate, on June 16, 1984. They began their life together on Francis St. in Lancaster where they built a home filled with love, enjoyed working in their garden together and watched the birds that gathered at their assorted birdhouses. Their precious daughter, Michelle Kathleen, was born on May 11, 1988. Wynn was a very proud father. He enjoyed sharing his love for music with her. He was always seen at the football games on Friday night - so proud of Michelle as she marched in the band. He loved the band concerts, competitions, and the parades. He became an Aggie dad and could not have been more proud. He wore the maroon often and thoroughly enjoyed each and every visit to College Station for football games, Wind Symphony Concerts, Parents Weekends, and any other excuse to spend time with Michelle. He also loved supporting Baylor University, Pam’s alma mater, and especially enjoyed a good Baylor/A&M match-up. His family spent the last 9.5 years of his life in Waxahachie where he loved his Purple Martin birdhouses, his field of bluebonnets, his variety of roses, his hearty vegetable garden, and Saturday mornings on the back porch with his sweetheart and a cup of coffee. They have many great memories of trips in the RV (especially Yellowstone National Park), fishing in the Gulf Coast of Texas at Port Aransas and climbing the mountains of Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and New Mexico. Wynn dearly loved his family, friends, co-workers, and his church. Wynn is predeceased by his grandparents, Fred and Catherine Cole. He is survived by his loving family, including: His devoted wife of 27 years: Pam His beloved daughter: Michelle His loving parents: Bill and Arlene Wright Parents-in-law: Curtis & Mary Ann Regan Sisters-in-law: Kathy Dickinson & husband, Jeff; Emily Keale and husband, Chris Nieces and nephew: Alyssa & Sadie Dickinson; Megan, Christopher & Erin Keale And many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Yellowstone Association, the American Cancer Society, The First United Methodist Church of Lancaster, TX or the charity of your choice.
